Thank you for your interest in joining our learning community! KIPP Columbus is a free, open-enrollment, public community school committed to creating joyful and academically excellent schools.

The application window for the 2025-2026 school year opens on October 20, 2024. The application process is required for all potential students who do not currently attend KIPP Columbus. To participate in the lottery, families must submit their applications by February 22, 2025. We will hold our student lottery on February 23, 2025, and offers will be extended on March 1, 2025. Applications received after February 22, 2025 will still be accepted, but will be placed on a waitlist in order of receipt.
In order to apply online, families must create an account via SchoolMint. Save your username and password so you can access your SchoolMint account at any time and see the status of your child’s enrollment. Families will also complete their registration process on SchoolMint once they have accepted their lottery offer.

The application window for the 2025-2026 school year opens on October 20, 2024. Families must submit a KIPP application online. If a parent needs support completing an application, they can call any of our front offices, and a member of our ops team will be able to help them complete the application. No, the current waitlist will not roll over to the new academic year. Your application for the 2024-2025 school year will stay active, and you will continue to be on the waitlist for this year. If you would like your student to participate in the 2025-2026 lottery, you must complete a new application.
You will receive a call, email, and text message notifying you that your student was accepted after the close of the lottery. You can also login to your SchoolMInt account to check the status of your student’s application.
After you receive notification that your student was accepted, you will need to complete the online registration and submit all required documents within ten days.
You will receive a date for our info session for new KIPPsters. The info session will be a time for new families to meet school leaders, hear about our mission, and time to ask questions.

We are a free, K-12 public school on the northeast side of Columbus, KIPP stands for the Knowledge and Power Program is part of a national network of free, open enrollment, public schools dedicated to empowering students with the knowledge, character, and skills necessary for college and choice-filled lives.

Yes, we currently have a growing athletics program. We have 10 varsity sports, and are continuing to expand our athletics and extracurricular programs!
We currently partner with Boys and Girls Club for after school programming in grades 6 – 8 as well as with Kiddie Academy to provide a before and after school care option for families on our campus.
Yes, we are a uniform school! You may obtain KIPP uniform tops from School Days/School Closet!
